The things that I value are based solely on how I was raised by my parents. They have installed certain beliefs in me that I continue to follow to this day. The top four things I value are hard work, individualism, equality, and education.
Hard work is something my parents have always taught me to have. I work hard at everything i do, be it school or athletics. I believe that hard work will lead to self-fulfillment. Another thing my parents have instilled in me is education. Education is one thing that I really value. The better education I have, the better the future I am bound to have.
I think that as a diverse nation, equality is necessary. As seen by history, if one ethnic group is heralded higher than another it creates tension. Ethnic tension only leads to civil war. We should all have the same opportunities no matter what race we are. With this, I believe that we all should have the option to be who we wish to be. If we want to be gay, let us be gay. If we want to express our emotions through our clothes, let us. For some individualism is the only way they are able to express themselves. This is good for a nation.

Sociological Imagination
What makes me "me"? Is it how I was brought up? Or being a male teen in this society today? Or could it be how social media and social groups have influenced me. I believe it is a combonation of these and several other things.
Since I am a teenager I think I am always right, mostly because I am. I think I know everything, because I do. Seeing how the teenagers on tv shows have a lot of freedom and the ability to make choices on their own, I believe that I should have the same opportunities.
White males in society today tend to have more opportunities than minorities and women. While it is not as severe as it was in the past, it is still evident. This has made me confident in my ability to get things done.
The religious person my parents have raised me to be has influenced me the most. My decisions are based off whether it is right to the church and God.
